The set log

The set log records the night as one line per tempo. While TempoSense is locked it takes one sample per second; a track change opens a new segment once a different tempo (more than 3 % away) has held for three seconds, otherwise the running segment absorbs the sample and refines its average.

1. Press ▶ Start listening and let it lock.
2. In Set log, press ● Record. The header shows recording · n with the number of segments so far.
3. Play the set. Press ■ Stop recording at the end.
4. Export CSV downloads the file. Clear empties the log (after asking).

The CSV has these columns: segment, start, end, duration_s, bpm, div2, div4, div8, mode, started_at. Start and end are h:mm:ss since the recording began; div2, div4 and div8 are the ÷2 / ÷4 / ÷8 values; mode is the detector that was active (or held); started_at is when that segment began, as an ISO timestamp. With the tool in German or Spanish the file uses ; between columns and a decimal comma, so it opens straight in Excel there.

A segment starts one second after the last reading of the previous tempo — not when the new tempo was confirmed — so the boundaries sit where the song changed.

The fullscreen display

Display ⛶ puts the big number, the ÷2 / ÷4 / ÷8 row, the beat dot and the bar dots on a black screen — for a FOH monitor, a stage screen or a second display. It uses the browser's fullscreen where available and shows the same status tag (live, held, drifting) as the main screen.

Close it with the ✕ in the corner or Esc. Detection keeps running underneath, so Hold, ½× / 2× and MIDI output all stay in effect.

On a phone

Detection, layers, delay table, set log and display all work on the phone's built-in mic. iOS exposes one audio input; a USB interface becomes the default input while it is connected. MIDI output needs a laptop with Chrome, Edge or Firefox — see Send the tempo to Ableton or LiveProfessor.
