Troubleshooting

Warnings that will not go away, a red support, a shared link that lost its scenario, and progress that did not sync.

Open RiggingSense

Symptom Likely cause & fix
UPLIFT — unstable! will not clear The load (or part of a UDL) sits beyond a support or hoist. Move it back between the supports, or in Beam mode add ballast. This is the lesson, not a bug.
Skew warning on a load that looks central Self-weight or chain weight is asymmetric because the insets differ, or a second load is off-centre. Check both loads and the insets.
A support is drawn red The reaction exceeds the WLL of the hardware chosen on the Safety factors tab. Pick a different preset there, or reduce the load.
Bridle inputs jump or refuse a value Apex x must stay inside the anchor separation, and the drop has a minimum — a 0° bridle would need infinite tension, so the tool clamps it and says so.
Steep bridles (legs above ~45°) look right now but did not before Fixed in August 2026: drops were silently capped. Re-open old scenarios; the numbers are now what the geometry says.
A quiz explanation seems to contradict the scenario Several explanations were corrected in the same release. Reload the page so the current version loads; if it persists, note the question and report it.
Numeric answer marked wrong although it is close The tolerance tightens as you level up, and it is judged in the displayed unit. Check the correct within ±X % note and your Unit setting.
Shared link opens the tool with the default scenario The part of the link after # was lost — some messaging apps cut it. Ask the sender to press Copy link again and send it as plain text. Signing in after opening the link is fine; the scenario is kept through the login.
Saved scenarios missing on another device Both devices must be signed in to the same account and online. Reload. See Account sync.
Progress won't be saved in this browser mode Private browsing or blocked storage. Use a normal window; sync needs local storage to hold the data first.
Print window was blocked Allow pop-ups for this site and press Print again.
The disclaimer keeps reappearing It is shown once per account until you press Got it; afterwards a slim strip stays visible by design.

The numbers do not match my rigging course

Check the unit first (kg, kN, lb), then whether self-weight and chain weight are on. If a course or a manufacturer's span table still disagrees, the course and the manufacturer win. RiggingSense teaches the statics with illustrative presets; it does not carry certified data.
