Build the input list

The input list is not a separate document. Every element with a channel number on the canvas appears in it, sorted by channel, so the plot and the list cannot disagree.

Number the channels

1. Click an element to open the Properties panel.
2. Type a channel number in Channel — 1 to 512 — or a text label such as AES A. The canvas label updates as you type; the change is committed when you leave the field.
3. For multi-channel elements set Channel Count and Sub-labels. A drum kit drops in with six channels (Kick, Snare, Hat, Tom 1, Tom 2, OH L/R); an IEM rack with four.
4. Set Provider: band (you bring it), venue (house gear) or shared (festival backline). The list and the rider both show it.
5. Untick include in tech rider on anything you want on the canvas but out of the PDF.

If you type a channel number that another element already has, the tool warns you. The list is what the console patch is built from, so a duplicate here becomes a duplicate at FOH.

Open the list

Band → Toggle input list, or the input-list button in the toolbar. The panel slides in from the right. Each row shows the channel, element type, label, provider and an editable Notes field ("needs phantom", "pad on"). Notes save immediately. Close it the same way, or with Esc.

Templates start with a contiguous channel plan in the order an engineer patches — drums, bass, guitars, keys, vocals — with spares at the end, so renumbering is usually a matter of adding, not rebuilding.

Get it out

The list goes into the rider: File → Export → Export PDF and keep the input list ticked in the dialog. See Export and share the plot. The lighting patch has its own CSV export from the DMX list; see Patch the lighting rig.

Monitor mix matrix and personnel

Band → Personnel (band + crew) holds who is on stage and on the crew, with a role each. Band → Monitor mix matrix is a grid of those people against the monitor sends, so the monitor engineer sees who hears what on the same page as the plot. Both go into the PDF.
