A picture of a stage tells the venue where things sit. A production document tells them what to patch, what to power, what to hang and who is standing there. This builds the second one — fast enough to do during the advance call.

A note on honesty: the rigging load report is a planning aid, not a certified structural calculation — treat it the way you would treat any figure you did not have signed off. And the element library is curated rather than an exhaustive vendor database, which is why custom elements and custom fixtures exist.

Quick answers.
Is the plot to scale?
Not as a drawing — and we would rather tell you than let you find out. You enter stage width and depth in metres, those numbers travel with the document and print on the PDF, and the ruler and measure tool report distances in metres. The stage outline itself is currently a schematic rather than a scaled rectangle. A true-to-scale canvas is being built now; this answer will change when it lands.
Does "stage left" mean my left?
You choose the convention, and the plot is labelled explicitly — so the person reading it never has to guess which one you meant.
Can lighting use it?
Yes: fixture types, beam angles, DMX universes and addresses, channel counts and conflict checking, plus a custom-fixture editor.
Can I send it to the venue without them signing up?
Yes. The public share link needs no account and no licence. It's a snapshot of the plot you sent — when the plot changes, send a fresh link.
Can two of us edit the same plot?
No — a plot has one author. Multi-user editing isn't something we do, and we'd rather say so than let you find out mid-advance.
Does it work on an iPad?
Yes — tablet and laptop. Phones get a device notice: a canvas editor needs the room.
Is it a subscription?
No. One purchase through Gumroad, claimed to your Squaresmile account.
