Is the stage plot to scale?

Yes. The stage is drawn as a real rectangle at the width and depth you enter, one grid square is one metre, and the ruler and measure tool report real distances. The dimensions travel with the document into the PDF.

Does "stage left" mean my left or the audience's?

You choose in Band → Stage settings, and the plot is labelled explicitly either way, so nobody on the receiving end has to guess.

Can the lighting department use it?

Yes. Fixture types, modes, DMX universes and addresses, channel counts and conflict checking are built in, with a custom-fixture editor for anything the library lacks. See Patch the lighting rig.

Can I send it to the venue without them signing up?

Yes. File → Share → Share view-only link opens with no account, no licence and nothing to install — or send the exported PDF. The link is a snapshot; send a fresh one when the plot changes. See Export and share the plot.

Can I reuse a plot?

Yes. Save venue profiles, personal presets, group templates, and named save slots; then duplicate and edit. Ten built-in templates — from Empty stage and Solo Acoustic to Band on IEMs, Festival — shared backline, Corporate / Speech and Worship / Church — are starting points that carry a stage size, channel plan and personnel.

Does my work follow me between devices?

Yes. Plots, save slots, venue profiles, group templates, custom elements and your colour palette sync with your Squaresmile account. See Account sync.

Does it work on an iPad?

Yes — tablet and laptop, including iPad in portrait. Phones are gated: the screen is too small to position elements by hand, so "Open anyway" is an escape hatch, not a supported layout.

Which languages does it speak?

English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Japanese, following the platform language picker. Any other platform language shows the tool in English. See Languages.

Is the rigging report a structural calculation?

No. It is a planning aid that adds up the weights you entered against the limits you entered. Capacities come from the manufacturer's load table and a qualified person must sign the check off.

Is Stage Plot Generator a subscription?

No. One purchase through Gumroad (€49), claimed to your Squaresmile account. See Licences and paid tools.
