Welcome to Squaresmile Tools
What the platform is, how the tools fit together, and where to start.
Squaresmile Tools is one login for a set of browser-based tools built for people who run live shows: stage managers, FOH and monitor engineers, RF techs, lighting operators, riggers and the bands themselves. Every tool runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop, saves as you go, and most of them keep working when the venue Wi-Fi drops.
How the tools are grouped
- Show day — run the show: Show Clock for the running order and the room clock, Stage Plot Generator, PatchSmith, SetlistForge and RiderSmith.
- Plan the rig — frequencies, power, rigging and rooms before the truck rolls: FreqSense, PowerSense, RiggingSense, RoomSense.
- Train your senses — get better between gigs: SoundSense, Frequency to Note, LightSense.
- Studio & prep — click tracks and tempo work: ClickSmith, BPM Forge, TempoSense.
- Desktop & plugins — native tools for the DAW and the RF kit: Spektra, SubPress, Airchain.
Each tool has its own guide in this help center: why it exists, a five-minute start, the how-tos, and what to do when something looks off.
Free and paid
Most tools are free with an account. The paid ones (Show Clock, SoundSense, SetlistForge, Stage Plot Generator, Spektra) are bought once on Gumroad and unlocked on your account with the licence key. There is no subscription.
Where your data lives
Everything you build is stored in your browser first, so a tool never waits for the network. When you are signed in, the tools that support it also sync to your account, so the same rundown or plan opens on your other devices. Sync is per account, not per share link.
Languages
The language picker in the top bar switches the whole platform. The shell and most tools are translated into eleven languages; help pages are written in English first and translated over time. A page that has no translation yet shows the English text with a short note.
Where to start
- Open the dashboard and star the tools you use — starred tools sit at the top of the sidebar on every device.
- Read the guide of the tool you need tonight. Each one starts with a five-minute setup.
- Keep the help open next to the tool while you work: every page here is written so you can follow it with the app on the other half of the screen.
- For the platform itself — Your account, Licences and paid tools, Account sync, Offline and installing the app, Languages and the FAQ — the pages in this section cover what every tool has in common.
Thanks for the feedback.
