What formats and systems does SubPress support?

VST3 and AU (Audio Unit) for macOS and Windows, so it loads in virtually any modern DAW or live host. There is no AAX build.

Is it really zero latency?

Yes. SubPress uses a phase-coherent crossover with no lookahead, so it adds no latency. That is what makes it safe on live inputs and front-of-house busses.

Can I use it in a live rig?

Yes — it is designed for it. It is low-latency and CPU-light and runs comfortably inside hosts like Live Professor for front-of-house and monitor processing.

How is this different from a normal multiband compressor?

It is not trying to be a do-everything multiband. It splits once at a variable low crossover, compresses only the low band and saturates the high band — fewer controls, faster decisions.

What does the Mono-Low button do?

It collapses everything below the crossover to mono while leaving the high band's stereo image untouched — a tight, centred low end that translates on club and PA systems.

Where should I put it?

Kick bus, bass bus, drum bus or the full mix — anywhere the low end decides the mix.

How do I buy it and get updates?

Through Gumroad as a one-time €19 purchase. You get instant access to the installers, and future updates are free for licence holders.

Do I need to activate anything on my Squaresmile account?

No. SubPress lives off-platform; the dashboard tile simply opens the Gumroad listing. Nothing to claim or enter on the account.
