Is RoomSense free?

Yes. The full suite is free with a Squaresmile account, including venue profiles, A5 print and every calculator.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Every calculation runs on your device in the browser; readings are never sent to a server and there is no analytics backend. Venue profiles sync to your Squaresmile account so they follow you across devices, with a local copy kept on the device as a fallback.

Does it replace REW or Smaart?

No. RoomSense predicts and references; they measure. Use it before you are standing in the room, then measure with a proper system.

Is the RT60 measured?

No. It is an estimate from your dimensions and materials, using published absorption coefficients and flagging the interpolated ones as [ASSUMED]. See Estimate RT60 and size the treatment.

Which hearing-safety rule does it use?

Both. NIOSH (85 dB, 3 dB exchange rate) and OSHA (90 dB, 5 dB exchange rate) are shown side by side, plus protected exposure behind a plug or IEM after NIOSH derating. See Check exposure and hearing protection.

Which loudness targets are built in?

Spotify and YouTube at −14 LUFS, Apple Music at −16, Podcast as a −19 to −16 range, and EBU R128 at −23 — with true-peak ceilings where the platform publishes one. Enter your measured integrated loudness and the table shows the delta to each.

Can the live LUFS meter measure the PA?

It meters whatever your browser's input device hears — momentary, short-term and integrated, with EBU R128 gating on the integrated value. It is single-channel, so a stereo programme reads a few dB below a full stereo meter, and a laptop mic is not calibrated. Treat it as a relative check.

Which standards does it reference?

Sabine reverberation, the Bolt and EBU R68 room-ratio regions, the Schroeder frequency, ISO 226 equal-loudness contours, IEC 61672 weighting, ISO 9613-1 air absorption, ISO 7029 age-related hearing loss and EBU R128 loudness.

Can I share a venue with the crew?

Yes. Export writes your venue profiles to a small JSON file; anyone running RoomSense drops it in with Import. Dimensions, materials and targets travel with it.

Can I print it?

Yes. Every tab has a Print A5 button that prints that tab's cards on an A5 sheet sized for a workbook.

Does it work on a phone?

The layout was rebuilt for phones and the controls are touch-sized, but the charts are easier to read on a tablet or laptop.

Which languages does the interface speak?

The interface follows the platform language picker. The "?" help tips and some verdict text are still in English.
