SubPress
A zero-latency low-band compressor and high-band saturator in one plugin — lock down kick and sub below one crossover, keep everything above it alive.

SubPress is a desktop audio plugin (VST3 and AU, macOS and Windows), not a browser tool. It splits your signal once at a crossover you set between 40 and 400 Hz. Below it, a dedicated compressor tames kick and sub; above it, a saturator drives harmonics back in. The two bands sum back phase-coherently with zero added latency, which is what makes it usable on a live bus as well as in the box.
Who it is for
- Live FOH and monitor engineers who need low-end control inside a live host such as Live Professor, where latency is non-negotiable.
- Mix engineers taming a kick bus, bass bus or mix bus without a full multiband.
- Producers and club-oriented work wanting a tight, centred bottom end in one move.
What makes it different
- Zero latency by design. A phase-coherent crossover with no lookahead — no smearing, no hollow middle, no delay compensation to fight.
- One decision, two jobs. Compress below the crossover, saturate above it — fewer controls, faster choices than a band-building exercise.
- Mono-Low built in. Collapse everything below the crossover to mono while the high band keeps its stereo image.
- Per-band solo and bypass for honest A/B comparisons.
- Bought once. No subscription, no dongle, free updates.

SubPress is paid: €19, bought once on Gumroad. It lives off-platform — the dashboard tile opens the Gumroad listing, and there is no licence key to enter on your Squaresmile account.
