Is FreqSense free?

Yes. It is a free tool on Squaresmile Tools; a free account opens it. There is no paid tier of FreqSense — the paid step, if you want measured RF at the venue, is the separate Spektra desktop scanner.

Which regions and regulators are covered?

Eight: Germany (BNetzA), the United Kingdom (Ofcom), the United States (FCC), the EU (CEPT/ECC), France (ANFR), Japan (MIC), Australia (ACMA) and Canada (ISED). Each has its own TV channel plan, cellular blocks and licence status table.

Is the regulatory data authoritative?

No. It is a curated snapshot that mirrors what the tool renders, and every table carries the disclaimer. Band plans change; confirm against your national regulator's current database before you transmit.

Does it work with my Shure or Sennheiser software?

Yes. Import and export Wireless Workbench (WWB) and Wireless Systems Manager (WSM) CSV plans from the Saved plans panel and the coordination table. See Export to WWB, WSM and paper.

Which scan files can it read?

RF Explorer (.csv / .rfe), Shure WWB6 and WWB7 exports, Rohde & Schwarz FSH exports and a generic two-column Frequency, Amplitude CSV. Up to three traces at once. See Import a scan or connect an SDR.

Do I need hardware?

No. A scan file from any analyser is enough. If you own an RF Explorer and use a Chromium browser, the Live SDR panel streams it straight into the spectrum over WebUSB.

Why is the Live SDR panel greyed out in Safari or Firefox?

They do not implement WebUSB. Open the tool in Chrome, Edge or Opera to use the live view; everything else works in any browser.

Which intermod orders are checked?

3rd-order products always, including the three-transmitter A+B−C family; 5th-order products when you tick Include 5th-order. The packer refuses placements on 3rd-order hits; higher-order and TX-on-RX hits are flagged for you to judge.

Do my plans sync between devices?

Yes. Saved plans, the theme, the pattern overlay and the tool language sync through your account. See Account sync.

Does it work offline?

Once loaded it keeps running without a connection and can still print the sheet. Account sync and loading a plan from another device need a connection.

Which languages does the tool speak?

English, German, Spanish, French and Italian, chosen from the platform language picker. Product names and engineering terms stay in English.

Can it monitor my receivers during the show?

No. FreqSense plans and analyses scans; it has no receiver telemetry. Watch the RX RF and AF meters at FOH or monitor world, as the field notes say.
