Build the setlist anyway
You already track what you played, with durations and running order. That is the report — you just have not exported it yet.
SetlistForge · Performance-rights reporting · United States
BMI Live asks what you performed at your own shows, and a little about where. The setlist already holds the works, the writers, the order and the durations — SetlistForge adds the venue detail BMI wants and prepares it as a PDF and a copy-ready list for the BMI Live form.

You already track what you played, with durations and running order. That is the report — you just have not exported it yet.
The export knows which fields this one asks for and prompts you only for those. Nothing generic, nothing you have to look up twice.
Anything the society needs that a setlist does not already hold. Songs missing required data are flagged before you export.
You get a clean PDF to work from when you fill in the society's own form or portal. SetlistForge never submits on your behalf.

Everything else — titles, writers, durations, running order, date, venue — comes from the setlist you already built.

What this is, and what it is not
This is a preparation aid. SetlistForge produces a formatted PDF of what you performed plus the fields this society asks for — it is not an official form, it is not a submission, and it does not talk to the society. You still file through their own portal or form. Every page of the export carries that in writing:
“Not an official BMI Live submission · Preparation helper · SetlistForge accepts no liability”
PDF: BMI Live Report — Preparation Helper
SetlistForge is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by BMI. Royalties go to the writers of the songs performed — you are paid only for songs you wrote, as a member.
FAQ
No. It prepares the document: works performed, in order, with writers, durations and the venue detail. Filing stays with you, through BMI.
Only when it changes. If you play the same rooms repeatedly you are re-entering one field, not rebuilding a report.
Registration and eligibility are the societies' business, not ours. What the tool guarantees is that one setlist can prepare whichever reports you are entitled to file.
Other societies
SetlistForge prepares reports for 9 societies. If you are registered with more than one, they all read from the same setlist.
