SetlistForge · Performance-rights reporting · Canada

Your SOCAN live performance report, straight out of the setlist.

SOCAN wants the works you performed and a contact for the show. The setlist already has the first part in running order with durations; SetlistForge adds the promoter contact and exports a formatted PDF — in English or French.

SOCAN

From "the gig is over" to "the report is ready".

01

Build the setlist anyway

You already track what you played, with durations and running order. That is the report — you just have not exported it yet.

02

Pick the society

The export knows which fields this one asks for and prompts you only for those. Nothing generic, nothing you have to look up twice.

03

Fill the few extras

Anything the society needs that a setlist does not already hold. Songs missing required data are flagged before you export.

04

Export and submit it yourself

You get a clean PDF to work from when you fill in the society's own form or portal. SetlistForge never submits on your behalf.

What this export asks you for

Everything else — titles, durations, running order, date, venue — comes from the setlist you already built.

What this is, and what it is not

This is a preparation aid. SetlistForge produces a formatted PDF of what you performed plus the fields this society asks for — it is not an official form, it is not a submission, and it does not talk to the society. You still file through their own portal or form. Every page of the export carries that in writing:

“Not an official SOCAN submission · Preparation helper · SetlistForge accepts no liability”

PDF: SOCAN Live Performance Report — Preparation Helper · English · Français

FAQ

Questions

Does this submit to SOCAN?

No. It is a preparation aid — a formatted PDF of the works performed plus the promoter contact. You report through SOCAN yourself.

Can I get the report in French?

Yes. The PDF language is chosen per report, independently of the language you use the app in — so an anglophone tour manager can still hand in a French document.

We tour Canada and Europe in the same year.

Then the same library and the same setlists feed the SOCAN module and the European ones. You build the list once per show, not once per society.

Other societies

SetlistForge ships report modules for seven. If you are registered with more than one, they all read from the same setlist.
